How Does CSGO Betting Work?

You can place online bets on CSGO without leaving the comfort of your home… assuming you have money on your cards or other digital wallets. The process is straightforward and only requires a few minutes of your time. That’s for setting everything up, connecting your preferred method of payment and going through the initial deposit.

More on that can be found down below. Right now, let’s see where exactly you can find CSGO Major odds:

Where to Find CSGO Major Odds?

CSGO Major odds are not difficult to find. We’re talking about one of the biggest events this season and the betting lines for it are available left, right and center. We’ve reached the point where all online sportsbooks feature esports bets.

Some have only the basic coverage, some go all the way in, especially during the biggest events of each year. CSGO IEM Major fits the description, that’s for sure. It’s one of the biggest esports events in terms of betting demand, and it’s reflected perfectly in the current coverage. We’ll talk more about it later on.

For now, let’s just say that finding CSGO Major odds won’t be an issue, no matter how unfamiliar you are with online gambling.

How to Bet on CSGO Matches?

If you’re not that familiar with the process of placing your first online bet, here’s how it works on most esports betting sites out there:

The first step is to find a bookie you like. You can find a good bunch in the above-featured table.
After finding one you like, it’s time to put a finger on it by registering for an account.
This part will take a few minutes. Just follow the on-screen instructions and use your real info.
Next up, confirm, your email/identity, and prepare yourself for the process of initial deposit.
Locate the deposit/banking button – it’s typically located in the upper right section of the page.
Use your preferred method of payment (f.e. Skrill, card) and deposit a certain amount of funds.
After the funds reach your betting bankroll, navigate to your desired CSGO Major odds.
Enter the stake you’d like to wager, select your desired line, and click Bet Now or similar.

That’s it – you’re done with placing your first-ever online CSGO bet.

IEM Rio Major Betting App

If you’re looking for a dedicated betting app for CSGO Major betting odds, you’re in luck since the biggest platforms out there all feature iOS and Android betting apps.

What are their biggest benefits? Well, they’re simple to use, often possess all features of the desktop version, and load almost instantly. Page-to-page navigation is better, interface too; all in all, IEM Rio Major betting apps are the obvious way to go if your betting device of choice is your smartphone.

Tournament Format and Structure

There are no surprises in the tournament format and structure. This is a CSGO Major Championship, so you can expect 24 teams and three stages, two of which will be played in a Swiss system format. More on that right down below.

Format

As for the format, there are three stages, just like you’d expect from a CSGO Major Championship. They are as follows:

The Challengers Stage

The Challengers Stage is basically a 16-team Swiss system format. Only elimination and advancement matches are bo3, everything else is bo1.

This stage of the event starts on October 31st and ends on November 3rd. The top half of these sixteen teams advance to the second phase of IEM Rio Major – The Legends Stage.

The Legends Stage

Pretty much the same format as above. The only real difference is the fact that the top half of Challengers Stage teams join in with the eight current Legends. Everything else is the same. You can see the entire team sheet below this section.

The Champions Stage

The final eight players will compete in a single-elimination bracket packed with bo3 matches. This final stage of the event starts on November 10th and lasts through November 13th. That’s when the finals are scheduled, so don’t forget to tune in!

Teams

Sixteen teams kick off from the Challengers Stage. Only the top half of them will advance to the Legends Stage, where they will be greeted by additional eight teams.

Besides outright winner bets, online esports bookmakers like BetOnline and BetWay feature all sorts of additional futures. Some of them are as follows:

To Qualify from Challengers Stage
HLTV Major MVP
To Reach the Finals

Alongside these, there’s a ton of team-based specials that go the extra depth. If you’re into that sort of stuff, big sites with CSGO Major betting odds have you covered. We’ll have more details for you in a separate blog dedicated to CSGO IEM Rio Major futures.

Faze Clan – Heavy Favorites

Faze Clan are coming into this tournament as the favorites according to most online esports bookmakers. But, the vast majority has them right on top of NaVi, the difference being +50 or so. This goes to show you that this Major could be a dead race between the two of the best CSGO teams right now.

NaVi is all about S1mple’s magic, whereas Faze Clan is all about teamwork, discipline, and smart plays. Can Faze Clan win back-to-back Majors or are we going to see them crumble under the pressure?

Well, I have to be completely honest with you, I just can’t tell yet. I’d prefer to wait and see how both teams play in their first three matches. After that we should have a much better picture of what to expect from them going forward.

Natus Vincere – S1mple’s Magic Still Going Strong

NaVi-logoNatus Vincere’s new roster is going to be overlooked by many. However, things are finally looking nice. S1mple is back in his prime form and the rest of the pack seems to be functioning well. Consistency is now the only question regarding NaVi’s gameplay.

If they can get out of the Legends Stage unscathed, we can rest assured they’ll reach the grand finals. Come to think of it, if you’re looking for an interesting future, go with NaVi to reach the grand finals. At the moment, it’s at -133 which is fairly valuable in my books.

Vitality – We Should Never Take ZywOo for Granted

Vitality-logoLast but not least – Vitality. Even though they haven’t been at their best this year, Vitality are always one of the best teams in the world, and it doesn’t really come as a big surprise considering the fact they still have ZywOo.

Although not as dominant as he used to be, ZywOo’s brilliance lies in the fact that he could give you a 40+ kills map seemingly out of nowhere. You can never count him out, and that’s what makes him (and Vitality) so darn dangerous.

Obviously, the French fans will be all about Vitality since G2 failed to qualify. When talking about the biggest absences from the Rio Major, it’s definitely G2 and Astralis. Everyone else is here, everyone else is ready for takeoff!
